Chicken Alfredo in the Crockpot

I love everything crockpot! I use my instapot too however I like the slow cook of the crockpot… if I remember to start it 😬

I also love pasta! We usually have a spaghetti night once a week and last week I tried this Alfredo recipe and it went over well and the leftovers were even better!

However, I have not found the secret to cooking pasta in the crockpot, so I was excited when this one turned out so well 🙌 AND it was a win with the family 🙌🙌

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast (shredded roasted chicken from Meijer or Costco works well)
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ¾ cup parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz penne pasta, uncooked
  1. Add chicken, cream cheese, butter (cut into slices) garlic cloves, salt, pepper, broth and heavy whipping cream into the crockpot and give a quick stir. Cook low for 4 hours, making sure chicken is fully cooked.
  2. If you don’t have shredded chicken and using boneless skinless chicken, remove chicken and shred. ( I recently bought a shredder and LOVE it, I’ll try and attach below). After shredding, return to the crockpot along with the pasta and Parmesan cheese. mix well and cook about 35-45 minutes to making sure pasta is cooked.
  3. Enjoy! I usually serve this with a Caesar salad and garlic bread 🥖

Have blessed week, ChristyJo

This sounds delicious! I’m a big fan of crockpot meals and chicken alfredo, so combining them sounds great. I’ve been looking for something simple I can make for dinner since we’ve had carpet cleaners over today so I haven’t been able to do much and this sounds like just the dinner! Thanks for sharing!
