Lets not forget that it is SUMMER!! what fun things do you have planned for the summer? anything? okay, I do not feel like it is summer and we continue to have this Covid cloud over us, like we all want to go out and have a summer party but can’t . . . Well, shouldn’t because of the spread of Covid.

I’m trying to not be discouraged, because it is SUMMER! and Summer has always just been a time to spend with family and enjoy the “free” schedule. being a Working Mom, it has always still been a little stressful because I am working all day and my kiddos kind of have to fend for themselves…I mean not really, they are well taken care of but it’s just harder. unfortunately they are on technology most of the day, much to my despise 😦 but that is another topic for another day…back to SUMMER 🙂
This Summer will be different, because so many things are closed like zoos, petting zoo, some beaches, parks, trampoline parks, and many more that keep our kiddos active and things we would typically do in the summer.
this summer will be a little more low key…but is that so bad?? I CHOOSE not be discouraged because I can’t it – this summer WILL BE DIFFERENT! and that’s okay and we’ll have to adjust – adjust our train of thought and adjust the attitude!
3 THINGS I WILL BE GRATEFUL DURING THIS SEASON:
- 1. My faith in God, the only thing truly constant
- 2. My health and my family’s health
- 3. The summer SEASON, even if it is different
Check out the link (click the picture) below for some ideas to do with the family from the Parents magazine:
My favorite:
Construct a backyard obstacle course with hula hoops, jump ropes, sticks, stones, hoses, and other materials from around the house. Your kids can take turns completing it—and the person with the fastest time wins a prize!
We’ve done this obstacle course before and the kids are great at setting it up themselves! Not only an active idea but also creative too 👍🏼
Love this! I am feeling the same way this Summer. Just trying to enjoy it the best we can!
