Protect Your Skin

So my dad passed away from Melanoma in December and I’ve been doing some research about how to protect myself and my family’s skin from the sun; and wanted to share with you, to hopefully help you as well! I know with Spring Break coming up for some, this is the perfect time! ☀️

1. Prevention- wear your sunscreen!!! Everyday!! No matter where you are, even being inside, still apply it! Helpful hint: check the UV index every day, they have nice apps that do it for you and will alert you when it reaches a specific number.

2. Protection

  • Protection includes wearing sunscreen (of course)
  • Sunglasses
  • Hat with a 4 inch brim
  • Specific SPF clothing
  •  Seek shade when you can
  •  Do not burn ( Your risk of developing Melanoma doubles if you have had more than 5 sunburns).
  • At all costs AVOID sun tanning booths.

3. Be aware- what should you look for in a mole:

  • A – Asymmetry (irregular shape)
  • B – Border (irregular border)
  • C – Color (multiple colors)
  • D – Diameter (>6mm in diameter)
  • E – Evolving (change in size, shape and color)

** If you have a family history of skin cancer, consult a dermatologist to have a skin exam every year or every 6 months.

Norwex Business Cards

These are my fun, business cards that I just had to share!

I love trying these products and promoting to others – the idea of improving our quality of life has never meant more to me than it does right now. When I read the chemicals in our cleaning products and even our bathing ingredients it makes me cringe! I don’t know what 1/2 of those ingrediants are and if it has “all natural” is it? Is it really?!

I have been ordering and trying different Norwex products every month or so and before I  would ever recommend them., I try them first! Because for me safety is first, but then I also look for it to be economical (who isn’t trying to save a little $)  and if it can save me time, I am all about that too 🙂

Excited to do laundry 🤓

Yes, that’s right, I’m excited to do laundry! Laundry is a never-ending battle and instead of doing laundry everyday, I chose 2 days( Wednesday and Saturday) to do it (unless I have an emergency load, I’ll throw that in) but I pretty much stick to these 2 days because otherwise I’m doing laundry(washing, drying, Folding and putting away) 7 days a week, I needed a break from the laundry dungeon! And trying this for the past month, has worked really well for our family!

So anyways, onto why I was really writing this blog and excited for this change in my laundry routine…see I’ve always used OxiClean and have loved it, however to sell Norwex, I want to give honest feedback when people ask about it and therefore I want to start trying more of their product and  coming to my home soon is their laundry detergent and fluff and tumble dryer balls! I’ve heard nothing but great things about both products, but I’ll try for myself 😊

Thanks for all your hard work OxiClean, it was nice working with ya 👍🏻

Mom Tip #103

Make cleaning easy – I never believed it would be so easy to clean, but Norwex has saved me time and $! I have one of these Norwex Enviro clothes in each of my bathrooms and kitchen. I am not toting cleaning products around to each room and  I simply get it wet and wipe. I don’t waste as many paper towels, therefore that makes it better for the environment and I am using less chemicals in our home, so it’s safer for my family!img_5120
