This recipe is from a friend that brought our family a huge batch when my dad was in Hospice and it was a hit! Since it was new, I am also considering it as one of New Year goals of trying a new recipe ✅

What I love about this soup recipe is that it is for the crockpot and being a working mom, I absolutely LOVE my crockpot!🥣👍🏻 Another added bonus, everyone in the family likes it (rarely happens :/ )

  • 2 cans of cream of chicken soup

  • 1 package of 90 second Chicken flavored rice ( I like the Uncle Ben’s Ready Rice Roasted Chicken)

  • 1 box of Mrs. Grass extra noodle soup (use both sides of noodles and flavoring)

  • 2 cups of chicken ( I just use 2 cans of canned, cooked chicken)

  • 2 cans of carrots

  • some onion

Put all in the crockpot, stir, add 10 cups of water and stir again. Then just wait for the yumminess of this delicious soup in 4 hours on high or most the time I use the 10 hours on low.

This is a great leftover for later in the week!

Chicken and Rice Dinner

Planning out our families dinner menu tonight, I came across this very simple, yummy recipe with only 4 ingredients, so it’s pretty cheap too!

  • Chicken (Bone-in) I have always used the bone-in, skinned chicken for this recipe but you could try skinless, boneless if you have that as well, I’m just not sure how moist it will be.
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 1 package onion soup
  • 1 can of cream of chicken

Preheat oven 375. Use a 9×13 pan and mix rice and onion soup. Lay chicken in pan, on top of the rice mixture. Cover chicken with cream of chicken soup. Use the soup can and add 3 cans of water to pan. Cover with tinfoil and bake for an hour and 30 minutes. With the last 30 minutes, removing the tinfoil.

Add a steamed vegetable and you have dinner! Enjoy and have a blessed week!

Casserole – Chicken Noodle with French Onions

Once in awhile , I break from our normal menu and try something different and I am so happy I did , because this was a hit with EVERY ONE in the family – AMAZING I Know 🙂

  • 4 cups of cooked chicken
  • 1 cup of French Fried Onions
  • 2 cans (10.75 oz) Cream of Chicken
  • 1 16 oz container of French Onion Dip
    • I didn’t have a full container, because honestly chips and dip is a huge weakness of mine, so I had half a container and mixed in sour cream and it still tasted great!
  • 12 oz Egg Noodles
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese
  1. Cook Egg Noodles according to package directions
  2. Preheat oven to 350
  3. Spray a 9×13 pan with cooking spray
  4. Mix Chicken, soup, dip and cheese in bowl. Stir in egg noodles last.
  5. Once all mixed, pour into pan.
  6. Crush french fried onions and sprinkle over top of dish.
  7. Bake for about 25 minutes.

I served with Broccoli and homemade bread. Simple dish and great for leftovers!

Easy, Buffalo Chicken Appetizer

  • 1/2 cup of Buffalo hot sauce (I use Frank’s Red Hot)
    • if you like it a little spicier, add more
  • 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup of cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup of sour cream

Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients together in bowl (saving a little cheddar cheese to sprinkle on top). Put in an 8×8 greased dish, sprinkle a little cheese on top, put in oven for 20-30 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips, so yummy and easy!
