I thought these totally applied to myself as well 😉
Kids need to learn to believe in themselves and they need to see us believing in them as well ❤️

I cannot get over the lies I heard last night from the debate.
God be with our nation, we need You! Only You can help us! Only You; God can save our country from politics and the Covid pandemic 🙏🏻
Molly had 7 puppies last week! 5 male and 2 females. Mama and puppies are doing great! This is her (and ours) first litter and it was amazing to see a dog’s natural instinct take over as a mama and care for her puppies 💕 #molly#cooper#koevsdoodles#goldendoodlepuppies#goldendoodles#koevsd🐾dles#family#newadventures
May these adorable pictures make you smile 😊 Blessings, Christy Jo
These are our Golden Doodles: Cooper (almost 6 years old) and Molly (1.5 years old) and we are getting ready to breed! Cooper is an F1, male and Molly is an F1B, female.
I’ll try and keep you updated on how this adventure is going! We have never bred dogs or any animal before so it’ll be a learning process.
And Just realized that between this new adventure, kids going back to school, being a room parent, working full time, “wifeing” “mommying” being a missionary for JC…. I have a lot going on all of sudden 🤦🏼♀️💪🏼🤪 BUT I am blessed 🙏🏼
Goodnight and have a blessed week, Christy Jo 🙏🏼🤟🏼
What has worked for me? I set a reminder to do some type of self care each day, it has really helped. I only “schedule” like 5 minutes for this because this has been a struggle for me! I always felt like as a working mom, if I wasn’t working then I needed to be with my kids (hello mom guilt) 😥So my hubby and I rarely go on dates, in that case, we have never even taken a vacation just the 2 of us! So self care is something I don’t do and I have noticed that 5 minutes in prayer, deep breathing or actually watching something I like to watch, just helps give me a little boost! try it and let me know how it helps you!
Self -Care Ideas from Hollis Co – please check these out! And even better, they are all FREE!
Have blessed Friday! Remember schedule just a few minutes of self care this weekend, Christy Jo 🤟🏼
We added a boat to our summer adventures! I will be honest I did not approve this purchase. However, the purchase was cheap enough that if we have some Covid, summer fun with it, it’ll be worth it!
So here are a few pics of that fun adventure and a few other!
I hope and pray you all have some type of fun and relaxation this summer season!
Didn’t realize that Fall is right around the corner!
Real Simple has some amazing articles about hair care!
This article I ran across on Twitter and it had some ideas I started using for my curly, “humidity sensitive” hair – even the simple change of washing your hair with cooler water (um yeah it’ll wake you up a little more in the morning) made a difference with my curls.
But check this out if you live in an area with some humidity:

Lets not forget that it is SUMMER!! what fun things do you have planned for the summer? anything? okay, I do not feel like it is summer and we continue to have this Covid cloud over us, like we all want to go out and have a summer party but can’t . . . Well, shouldn’t because of the spread of Covid.
I’m trying to not be discouraged, because it is SUMMER! and Summer has always just been a time to spend with family and enjoy the “free” schedule. being a Working Mom, it has always still been a little stressful because I am working all day and my kiddos kind of have to fend for themselves…I mean not really, they are well taken care of but it’s just harder. unfortunately they are on technology most of the day, much to my despise 😦 but that is another topic for another day…back to SUMMER 🙂
This Summer will be different, because so many things are closed like zoos, petting zoo, some beaches, parks, trampoline parks, and many more that keep our kiddos active and things we would typically do in the summer.
this summer will be a little more low key…but is that so bad?? I CHOOSE not be discouraged because I can’t it – this summer WILL BE DIFFERENT! and that’s okay and we’ll have to adjust – adjust our train of thought and adjust the attitude!
3 THINGS I WILL BE GRATEFUL DURING THIS SEASON:
Check out the link (click the picture) below for some ideas to do with the family from the Parents magazine:
My favorite:
Construct a backyard obstacle course with hula hoops, jump ropes, sticks, stones, hoses, and other materials from around the house. Your kids can take turns completing it—and the person with the fastest time wins a prize!
We’ve done this obstacle course before and the kids are great at setting it up themselves! Not only an active idea but also creative too 👍🏼
